The GenomEra® Norovirus assay, performed on the GenomEra® CDX Instrument, is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic (IVD) nucleic acid test intended for the detection and differentiation of norovirus genogroups I and II from raw or unpreserved unformed stool specimens or Copan eSwab preserved stool specimens collected from individuals with symptoms of acute gastroenteritis. The test utilizes automated homogeneous reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
GenomEra® Norovirus assay is intended to aid in the diagnosis of norovirus infections when used in conjunction with clinical evaluation, laboratory findings, and epidemiological information. The assay also aids in the detection and identification of norovirus infections in the context of outbreaks.
Also available with eSwabs in a 40, 100 or 200 test kit size.
