CE marked real-time PCR for the detection and quantification of Hepatitis B Virus (encompassing all the genotypes A-H) in a single ready to use mastermix which includes an internal control. The target is a region of the S gene and the standard curve is created using 5 standards calibrated to the WHO International Standard (NIBSC code 10/264).
NB: The reaction volume is 75 µl so this assay is compatible with those real-time PCR instruments that can take this volume. Otherwise the Bosphore HBV Quantification Kit (ABHBQ1/2) uses a smaller reaction volume.
