The DuplicαPrep is a magnetic bead based platform for the separation of nucleic acids, developed in collaboration with clinical diagnostic laboratories.

The platform operates in association with a dedicated panel of extraction kits. The use of the DuplicαPrep dedicated reagents guarantees high quality and good yield of purified nucleic acids DNA / RNA for molecular biology applications.

The platform comes with all the accessories needed for the extraction process and a barcode reader for improved sample traceability.

Each run takes approximately 40 - 75 minutes depending on the extraction matrices. The system can process 1 to 12 samples per run with no reagent waste.

The separation is obtained by using 12 metal rods magnetized by an external magnet. This feature allows the rods to be magnetized only during specific extractions steps.

The magnetization is required to capture the beads and to transfer them into the subsequent solutions. During the steps in which the rods are not magnetized, the rods play an efficient role re-suspending the beads into the extraction solution (washing and elution solutions).

The re suspension is obtained by the rods rotating at high speed. This fast and efficient step provides good yield and quality of purified Nucleic Acids (DNA / RNA).
